Christopher Buck – Serving with Honor, Leading with Heart
Chris proudly began his journey of service in 1990 when he enlisted in the Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantryman. Over a remarkable 26-year career, he climbed the ranks to Staff Sergeant before earning his commission through the prestigious MECEP program in 2002. As an officer, Chris continued his dedication to the infantry as an 0302, retiring in 2016 at the rank of Major.
After dedicating his life to serving his country, Chris chose Mason, Michigan, as his home. He quickly became a cornerstone of the community. Chris now serves as a board member of the Mason Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Mason Lions Club.
In 2016, Chris embarked on a new mission in financial services, opening his practice in the heart of downtown Mason. He holds an undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Management, Strategy, and Leadership from Michigan State University. Chris found his passion in helping others achieve financial stability and success. Reflecting on his career, he shares:
“It was the right place at the right time, and I can’t believe how rewarding this work has been. Helping families, business owners, and individuals achieve their retirement goals while giving back to the community that welcomed my family with open arms has been an incredible blessing.”

Victor Diaz – A Life of Resilience, Service, and Dedication
Victor Diaz grew up in Huntington, West Virginia, a town rich in history and heroism. As a young boy, he delivered newspapers to Dutch Miller, a famed Marine pilot of Pappy Boyington’s Black Sheep Squadron in WWII. Dutch’s captivating stories of courage and camaraderie left a lasting impression on Victor, inspiring his lifelong commitment to service.
As a talented athlete, Victor excelled in swimming and water polo. After a devastating bicycle accident left determination saw him recover and earn a spot on the All-American Water Polo Team just six months later. He went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he lettered on their Water Polo Team and graduated with a degree in Business.
Victor served in the Marine Corps from 1981 to 1989, completing his career at Camp Pendleton. After his service, he transitioned into real estate, where he built a successful career specializing in bank-owned properties. In 1998, he relocated to Lansing, Michigan, where he continues to excel in residential, multi-family, and commercial real estate.

Born in Iraq, Ron migrated to the United States in 1994 during the Gulf War at just seven years old. Arriving with minimal resources, Ron and his family faced challenges as they adjusted to their new life. However, the opportunities provided by the American Dream allowed his family to thrive, shaping Ron’s deep belief in giving back to those who served and sacrificed for this country.
Growing up in Southfield, Michigan, Ron developed a passion for service and an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to own businesses in import/export, retail, real estate, and video production. While living in downtown Detroit, Ron began helping homeless veterans in the area. He made it a mission to know each veteran by name, their locations, and their specific needs. This personal connection solidified his commitment to serving those who served the nation.
